I Whitened My Teeth!

I have always taken good care of my teeth and to me, it’s super important to not only keep my smile healthy but pretty as well. I’m not denying that my teeth were already pretty white (they were) but I am a firm believer that with anything, there is room for improvement.

I saw a teeth whitening service that was said to be all-natural and organic, only one hour, painless, and only $100. I was intrigued. After doing some research I decided to book my appointment with Kasey at The Pretty House Studio (my go-to waxing girl) and get my pearly whites even pearlier.

She said most people’s teeth go about 5 shades whiter per session. Mine only went 4, since they couldn’t get any whiter. Here are my results:

You can see in the second picture my teeth are whiter (YAY) but my gums are also red. Kasey explained that this is because they were dehydrated from the blue light as well as being exposed to the air for an hour. I felt no irritation and the redness went away within an hour.

The process was super painless, slightly boring, and very worth it. It went by pretty fast because I fell asleep lol. Kasey would apply a gel to my teeth, I would sit under the light, then I would rinse my mouth and we would repeat. We did this 3 times then wa la, I was done. The worst part was how crusty my lips were after, but nothing a little chapstick couldn’t fix.

I 10/10 recommend this to anyone who is looking to improve their smile! I love my results. WebMD states that the average price per session to have your teeth whitened at a dentist is $500. Absurd. I would much rather go to a cute beauty studio and be comfortable with some good music on in the background than sit in a scary dentist’s office. (for 1/5 of the price)

If you have any questions about the whole thing please feel free to comment below or reach out privately! If you are interested in getting this (or any other beauty service) done, reach out to Kasey through her Instagram @kaseynicolebeauty. You can thank me later!
