5 Airport Outfit Ideas to Slay the Runway
I don’t understand the unspoken rule regarding looking good to go through security checkpoints and sit on an airplane. I also don’t understand why I follow this fake rule. But I do. Maybe I will meet the love of my life, or someone semi-famous who still uses public airports. Who knows. Either way, I have put together some airport outfit ideas.
The most important and necessary elements of a perfect airport outfit include comfort and ease during security. With that being said, the outfit must meet the following criteria: look cute obviously, comfortable to sit in, layers!! (since every area in an airport seem to be different temperatures), no belts, and shoes that are easy to remove/put on.
I’ve been caught in the dreaded situations of going from hot to cold in a matter of minutes, wanting to put my leg up but regretfully wearing a dress, holding up my pants for dear life waddling to get my bags from the scanner, and being that person in the way spending 5 minutes to lace up my Dr. Martin boots.
These 5 outfit combos will have people wondering “who is she” while you bask in your own comfort and applaud the functionality of your fit.
As you can see, all of my outfits have layers, easy shoes, pockets of course, and max comfort levels. What I decide to wear is heavily dependent on what time I’m flying as well as where I’ll be landing. Flying out of Phoenix is typically MUCH warmer than landing anywhere else so I like to plan ahead and wear a jacket/bring one in my carry on.
Here’s a gallery of the outfits if you’re not a video person or just wanted a closer look. (pls excuse my face I was in a losing battle with self-timer)
What’s your fav outfit out of these – 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5? When traveling, do you feel the pressure to look cute for no reason? Even if you don’t, let me know what types of outfits you like to fly in!! Let me know if you want any specific outfit details, I’ll send you the link ♡
